I feel sorry for this family. What puzzles me though is if you have insurance, except for a few thousand dollars (upto about 15k), rest should be taken care of by your insurance. Unlike in the past, there are no maximum dollars/life time maximum one could use since ACA. | ||

Surendra Challa met with horrific hit and run accident while walking on the pavement in San Jose CA on December 16th 2015, and survived with major injuries everywhere including head, legs and hands. Surendra was unconscious after the accident for few weeks. This year will be full of hurdles for Surendra's family. He has already undergone an extensive multiple surgeries for Brian, Neck, Wrist, Left Leg and Right Leg @ Regional Medical Center Of San Jose CA (225 North Jackson Avenue San Jose CA 95116-1691). Not only we will incur significant medical expenses, but we will also suffer from the loss of Surendra's income and additional expenses to stay here in San Jose CA and as per doctor suggestion, require four months continues treatment and bed rest. As we know Medical insurance which covers only partial/conditional and remaining we have to pay from our pocket. Driver who did accident, she does not have proper insurance which covers less than 50000 USD.
