this is same money one proves in a consulate that they have 40lakhs, 1 crore in a bank account... and now when they are entering USA.. they have to take that money in some form or other to pay for expenses.. that a student says he will in a visa interview.... that is my analysis.. and advice for students... any1 on F1 have a bofa/chase etc account and have atleast 10-15K dollars in that before you leave/comeback... and if you are a new student.. make sure you carry the travellers check worth 1st semester fee + daily expenses.. Financials appa... plain and simple... if a student doesnot have graduate assistantship. And if he doesnt have a travellers check or any other money instrument that bears the amount for the semester fee... and if he doesnt have a bank account in which there are sufficient funds for his daily expenses... then tht student will not be allowed. Simple and straight. prove that you have money to live n bear college expenses... get in.. else get out. Thats wat is happening.
