Kodela Admits Fault In Roja Suspension December 24 , 2015 | UPDATED 20:31 IST It looks like Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has realized his folly of suspending firebrand YSR Congress party MLA R K Roja for a period of one year. Kodela said there were different opinions on Roja’s suspension for one year. Some feel it was too harsh and others said it was not a right decision. “It was not my decision. The TDP government moved the resolution for one year suspension of the member and I had to announce the same,” he said. Apparently, he got several backlash from various sections of people about the decision on Roja. And also the legal experts suggested that he had no such right. So, he said he was appointing a committee under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad to go into the issue of Roja’s suspension and whether it was justified and whether the duration could be reduced. “We shall take a decision based on the committee report,” he said. | ||
