AI tpt - hyd less pax has to do with there being a spice jet flight to hyd within 5 minutes. More over AI uses wide bodied airbus compared to ATRs of other airlines so occupation takkuva vunna pax more or less same vuntaru 2pm perfect time in a way because usually check out timingS in 95% of the hotels will be 12pm. Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. | ||

wiil they reschedule, if we email? will they listen to us? and they should be knowing right, why other carriers are running with good occupancy than AI. 8/10 are flying before 12:00 pm or after 4:00 pm and i had personally traveled from tpt to delhi in AI... their seats are really bad... and air hostess too... and only food is good | ||

there are 10 flights flying from Tirupati as of now... Spice Jet 3 to Hyd, Aircosta 2 to Vizag 1 direct and another via Hyd, Tru Jet 2 FLIGHTS TO hYD AND 1 MORE TO aURANGABAD VIA hYD, and Air India To Delhi Via Hyd and another till Hyd... All are flying with good occupancy... except AI flight to Delhi.. because of its odd timings 2:20 PM every day and also it is a A321 flight with 180 pasngrs. Indigo had talks with authorities to connect belgum and Tirupati few months back.. but did not see any updates after that... Spiceject too..extended their one of the flight till Pune.. but discontinued it after 2 days... It might take 4-5 years for tirupati to reach million passengers a year... | ||

Bangalore naku telidu, but I do agree that there is potential for Tirupati from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi etc places .. Bangalore nunchi I feel car/bus is the best. How are the flights doing? Profits? Green routes? Enduku undavu ... AAI publishes those numbers every month on their website. even DGCA tracks these numbers. Many private management consulting firms will be tracking .. avi dig cheyyali to understand what has happened is unique to AP? if so, why .. Also, Tirupati used to serve 3.5+ lk passengers a year in 2006-08 itself..but it came to 2.5+ lk now because of kf, JA, and IA... But with increase of flights now.. its witnessing a growth... There is lot more potential in increase of traffic it Tirupati is connected with Bangalore, Belgum, Mumbai or Pune and Ahmadabad... | ||

How come there is no dip in passengers for Hyd or Chennai then? Tirupati to Bangalore flights is a joke in a way .. reason being .. even in a bus .. it takes a maximum of 4.5 hours .. There was a demand for Tirupati and Vijayawada before itself.. but connectivity was not upto mark. For example, Kingfisher used to fly from Tirupati to Bangalore, Mumbai, and few other places. And Jet Airways too used to Fly from Tirupati to other places 2-3 years back. But because of Kingfisher Debacle and Jet Airways strategy to fly only to Metros mainly because of looses, they too withdrew their services. But now, with entry of True Jet and Aircosta.. connectivity is increased and there by passengers increased... And so is the situation of Vijayawada.... | ||

Visakhapatnam airport registered a 45.1% Vijayawada, now the seat of power, almost doubled Tirupati saw a 50.6% The five operational airports in AP- Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Rajahmundry and Kadapa, have together registered a 51 per cent growth in passenger traffic  Out of the six new airports the government plans to develop four airports, had requested the AAI to develop the two no-frills airport facilities-one at Nagarjunasagar in Guntur district and the other one at Donakonda in Prakasham district. A meeting held by the government with the potential bidders for the new airport projects last month was attended by companies such as L&T Construction, Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Limited, GMR Airports, Shapoorji Pallonji, Essel Infrastructure, indicating a strong interest for these green field projects. On its part AP government had already tied up Rs 1,700 crore loan from HUDCO towards land acquisition for three airports. Of this Rs 1,500 crore loan was taken towards land cost for Bhogapuram airport, for which notice for acquiring 5,311 acres of land was issued in August.
