I think it is HIGH time to switch to the NEW CRITERIA ie, CLASS instead of CASTE as BASIS for benefits.

Step in the RIGHT DIRECTION!

This is really interesting. This signals a shift towards Class from Caste for reservations. I think the tremendous economic growth in India making social stratification moving towards Class from Caste. It makes sense.

Also it is interesting to note that Bihar government is fast making moves towards this direction. They are offering land to poor people of upper castes.
