Simba:

Buy off the shelf mini computer and hook it up to TV

but i don't like windows or desktop os type of interface for accessing media

should have simple UI like netflix or roku or boxee etc

i have roku3, ps3 and DLNA BD player etc but none of them can play all the media types

Will check on other options u mentioned

Thank you
Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresea, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein

Easy solution. Buy off the shelf mini computer and hook it up to TV.

Few examples:
Apple Mac-mini
Intel NUC
Gigabyte Brix

You can play everything you want plus online streaming from any website. No need to build from scratch

Hello Guruvu gaaru, my boxee box is almost dead.. need to replace it with some other hardware media server..

need to be able to play any audio/video format
don't like streaming from desktop through software media servers like plex, pms etc
able to play files from NAS

But i don't want to build a HTPC

are there any boxes that meet above requirements?
