Superstar Mahesh Babu has set a new record by taking Rs 25 Cr as remuneration for his new film to be directed by A.R.Murugadoss. Other than superstar Rajinikanth in South India, no star has taken about Rs 25 Cr remuneration and Mahesh Babu becomes the first Tollywood hero to fetch such record price. As we reported earlier, the movie is going to be one of costliest movies in South India with reported budget of Rs 110 Cr as Murugadoss is trying to make it on international standards. Before the release of Srimanthudu, Mahesh Babu took Rs 17 Cr as remuneration and now he has got a hike of Rs 8 Cr post the blockbuster. Since producer N V Prasad got dates of Mahesh Babu on priority basis, he paid such a huge amount and also the other reason it is being made in two languages simultaneously. The film which is yet to be titled will be launched in April 2016 and the movie will have top Bollywood actress as its leading heroine.  |
