On the new capital for Seemandhra, Jagan said he would personally oversee construction works after the Centre decides on the location. It is desirable that the city must be the geographical centre of the state," Jagan Reddy said and added that the capital would be named in such a way that it would represent both Rayalaseema and Andhra. A super-specialty hospital and a food processing unit in each district, metro rail for Visakhapatnam, Guntur, and Vijayawada, bullet trains in the main city figured among the assurances made in the manifestoes. Visakhaptanam would be made pollution-free, Jagan announced, while promising to develop a petrochemical corridor in the district by involving IOC and HPCL.
