Not exactly. Train ante we have to pack everything - get into a cab and travel 1.5 hours to Secunderabad railway station. Then get a porter engaged and wait for the train - which is quite an ordeal - especially if it is Simhapuri express - Always comes to the platform 10 minutes after the supposed departure time. Then figure out the berth matrix and come up with a complex algorithm to fit your young kids on those berths and devise a monitoring mechanism. And finally, get to Nellore two hours behind schedule. Then get out of the compartment with all your belongings in 2 minutes flat. Engage a porter again. Go to the parking area and get into a cab/car. Even if you are OK with all this, you have to decide your exact dates of travel at least 1 month in advance - May not be possible. Driving from doorstep to doorstep is easier  and done in 6 hours + breaks Please do not take the overnight Volvo service. We keep hearing these buses turning turtle on the highway very frequently. Konni tips: 1. Ongole - first entry daatina tarvata left side oka Setty gaari kitchen untundhi. Dosa and Idli na bhu na bha. Antha tasty food - ee sector lo inkekkadaa ledhu. Will mark the exact location on map later and post it. 2. Nellore to Ongole stretch is really really bad with all the six laning work going on. Extremely tiresome drive. (Nellore-Kavali is the worst section) 3. Medarametla to Addanki and to Piduguralla is a dream run! Addanki of course doesn't have a bypass road and so you have to wade through the town but the actual highway is fantastic. 4. 15-20kms after Addanki, you get a cross roads - (Srisailam, Vinukonda, Hyderabad roads junction). Akkada tea super. 5. Piduguralla tests your patience with its town traffic. Same with Brahmanapalli. Dachepalli and Damancharla are pretty OK. 6. Miryalaguda bypass lo flyover construction - ekkada vesina gongali akkade since 2010. Aa 1 kilometer stretch will kill your car's suspension. 7. Nalgonda chuttupakkana chaalaa speedguns unnaayi... Tickets isthunnaaru 8. Toll easy ga 500 varaku avuthundhi. Factor this in when you are planning the trip. 9. Narketpally daggara Vij highway ekkina tarvata left side Hotel Vivera/Cafe CoffeeDay - very good place to take a break. Clean and modern restrooms. Udupi hotel and other features. 10. Total 500 kms from Pogathota, Nellore to Nallagandla Hyderabad - Morning 8:45 ki intlo start ayithe afternoon 3:45 ki cheraamu with two breaks in between. Naaku nacchindi janaalaki nacchadu...
