Same thing happening on GST/ Real estate etc. But to be fair to Congress, the UPA version of the Real estate regulation bill was better, NDA diluted it quite a bit. I am not too aware of the GST details but some of the recent changes they have done appear to make the implementation more complex. Inka Land bill is the same as earlier. Apart from the black money bill, which the NDA shrewdly passed by showing it as a money bill, there is nothing new that the NDA has brought in terms of big legislation. | ||

I agree to this, but i think its due to complete lack of transparency on the functioning of supreme court with regards to other branches of govt (legislature, executive) they are directly answerable to public and lot of scrutiny from press, and these completely lack with judiciary. Nihil - yes, the decision and the judgement are not productive. Jaitley's analogy that "would the courts be okay with others superseding them just because there are 3 crore cases pending" is perfect in light of the logic that the Parliament is non- functional and hence they can't get a say in judicial appointments. Problem entante, the supreme court is generally considered as a more reputable institution than the parliament, so public opinion is on the supreme court's side. | ||
