ivala kotta news chusara

coal auctions valla 1300 crores vachai rather than the claim of a large number

aa large number will come in increments every year as the guys will start paying the money as they start mining

but u can create a different narrative saying that auctions are failed

I think there is a general perception in the country that the leadership is pro Hindu. This is giving impetus to the extremists and other fringes to attempt things that they otherwise would not have done.

Modi should act immediately to change that perception.

the problem here is if modi acts on it directly, it actually gives more impetus.

it should not be set as a display pic...making people think that PM is acting only on religous matters.

But did Media do the lynching and ink throwing? They are just using the opportunity. We said same when they were going against AAP and no one listened.

But I agree with Platy, whatever good is being done by Modi is being diminished by these incidents and some RSS leaders.. If Modi kicks out one or two such idiots then it will be good

The entire drama of Media is always same.

In Vajpayee's govt - for media the villain was RSS and VHP - and media wanted Vajpayee to be seen as acting on them.

In Modi's govt - for media the villain is again RSS and VHP - and media wants Modi to be seen as acting on them.

We understand the game. Modi understands it better. :-)

Media manufactured some fears and attributed them to Modi. Modi is a normal secular person. People elected him.

Overall sentiment is not something Modi is messing up. It is because of the Bihar elections, that media is trying to bring Hindu-Muslim polarization, as Bihar has 25% Muslims and if my logic is correct, the media will play up with issue more near the 5th phase, when most Muslim populated regions are going to vote!

No. Whether it is a State issue or a Center issue, it is because of fringes daring to do stuff because they feel the current landscape in India is pro-Hindu. Law and order is a state issue I agree but the overall sentiment is something Modi needs to fix ASAP.

While I don't squarely blame BJP or Narendra Modi for the increased number of untoward incidents in the country, I do believe Narendra Modi has a responsibility to put these people in their place; to take a firm stance against such nonsensical thinking and act swiftly to assure the people of India that - no matter how powerful you are, no matter how connected you are with BJP, you cannot threaten India's very own existence as a democracy - as a secular nation. This applies to everyone.

Law and Order is a state subject as per the constitution. Modi, as PM, has not asked any state to go easy on any person who violated the law. The state govts are already equipped with adequate mechanisms to handle the violence. In such a case, the real appeal should go to the state govts, not the central govt, on this issue.

Platypus:

The answer is NOT congress. The answer is not Rahul Gandhi. The answer is a stronger Modi.

I am not supporting BJP's sedition charges. Let me clarify. Also, I am pro-meat-neutrality. But I also want that "religion-free" aspect to extend to everything in India. Not just meat.

Platypus:

I support meat neutrality. I don't support banning any sort of meat because of religious beliefs because our constitution does not have religion anywhere in it.

I support uniform civil code. Those who are crying foul that banning beef is a religious action, should also lend their voice to end this religious discrimination - and support uniform civil code. They should support abolition of reservations based on religion.

yes...pro hindu perception was always there...nothing new...

can u be specific on who the extremists and fringes are?

How did u conclude that communal incidents are on a rise?

I'm asking bcoz I've seen the data from ncrb ...data doesn't support the claim that there is an increase in intolerance

communal incidents have been taking place since decades...nothing changed

.isn't it surprising that only the incidents where victims are from a minority are getting highlighted ?

is Dadri the only communal incident that has happened in the recent past?

Just give a thought why only dadri is given the publicity and not others...if you ask me what are the other incidents,i have a very long list...

bottomline...'Rising Intolerance' is manufactured by media...data doesn't lie ...

Naaku BJP ante chaalaa ishtam. Narendra Modi ante okaanokappudu Boss meedha unnantha abhimaanam undhi. I hate pseudo securalists. I hate the concept of reservations. I love my religion and my way of life.

Kaani, all things said and done, I love my country. I am proud of its secular nature. (Not pseudo secular). I completely believe in democracy. I believe in democratic means of protests. Protests are an integral feature of any democracy. I believe in India. I believe in its secular fabric. I don't want it to go away.

This may or may not be BJP's fault but the very fact that BJP has risen like a phoenix and secured an absolute majority government in Lok Sabha - while laudable and great - has resulted in some side effects that should urgently be kept in check.

Because of BJP's ascension to power, the fringe groups and the people who have some kind of an affinity towards BJP are now taking advantage of "siding with the king" paradigm and doing things that threaten India as I know it. "I am a friend of the government. So I can do this and get away with it." seems to be the thought process of those fringes.

So while slapping sedition charges against Hardik Patel is a welcome movie, I wonder why such a charge has not been brought against Akbaruddin Owaisi or Shiv Sena's leadership. Or for that matter, a few folks in Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh.

I don't believe in pseudo secularism. Please don't make me a supporter of Barkha Dutt and NDTV. I believe in secularism. I believe in BJP. I believe it is Modi's duty to protect both from the fringe groups as well as the pseudo-secularists.

And I want abolition of reservations based on castes as well but at the same time, I want those Faridabad bastards to face the gallows - for killing those two innocent Dalit children as well as for proving that caste discrimination in this day and age is still quite prevalent in India. As long as such folks exist in India and get support from all of us, reservations will also have to exist.

I need a strong leader of the nation to talk to us all and call a spade, a spade and take some firm actions. I need a leader with enough political clout and with India's best interests at heart to put a firm foot down on this nonsense so that we can concentrate on the economy.

The answer is NOT congress. The answer is not Rahul Gandhi. The answer is a stronger Modi.

Jai Hind
