Makhanlal Fotedar also writes in his forthcoming book that Madhavrao Scindia ensured that Mulayam Singh Yadav would not support Sonia Gandhi's bid to power in 1999.

Kalburgi murder and Dari lynching happened in non-BJP ruled states, said party president Amit Shah.

Bhartiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on Monday said there was no inner contradiction between RSS and BJP and both were having relations as it should be.

"BJP-RSS mein koi anter-birodh nahi hai..RSS doing its own work..BJP its own and both are having relations as it should be", said Mr. Shah while addressing the media in Patna on Monday.

When asked about his views on the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's statement on "reservation", Mr. Shah clarified that Mr. Bhagwat had never said that we want to change the reservation policy which has been enshrined in Indian constitution.

On the question of writers returning award in protest of the murder of noted Kannada writer MM Kalburgi and Dari lynching incident, Mr. Shah said both the incidents happened in non-BJP ruled states.

"UP and Congress ruled Karnataka governments should be asked questions for these incidents..law and order is a state issue", he said.

Mr. Shah also clarified that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's poll rallies have been delayed because of the big gap between second-third phase poll and the Dussehra festival in-between. The third phase poll in Bihar is on October 28.

"He is to address total 22 poll rallies….neither the place, nor the rallies have been changed", he said

He also declared that as per the feedback from the BJP workers the NDA would win 32-34 seats in the first phase poll while from 22-24 seats in the second phase poll.

"We're getting support from young people, women, poor people and all castes in poll", Mr. Shah said.

He also appealed to the people of Bihar to vote for the NDA to get dawai, padhai and kamai(medicine, education and employment).

"Bihar needs a government which could work in tandem with the central government. The Prime Minister wants to take Bihar ahead on development path", he said.

BJP was and is contesting Bihar poll on the issue of development but the grand alliance took the issues to caste, backward-forward caste, beef and other issues.

"But I want to tell them that its not 1990 but 2015 and people of Bihar wants development. BJP never does caste politics", he said emphatically.
