Terrible Openings For Bruce Lee In India October 16 , 2015 | UPDATED 19:04 IST Ram Charan had great hopes on Bruce Lee that it would take bumper openings in USA and put his film in the club of one million dollars but his hopes have crashed down. The premiere shows collections were so dull to say the least. The film was released in record number of screens, more than any other Telugu film released recently but it collected paltry sum of $277k (Rs 1.79 Cr) from the premiere shows. Although this is the best premiere show figure in Charan's career, but the recent big Telugu hits collected double amount than this. Same goes for the Indian market. The movie had poor openings compared to Ram Charan's previous films. The film failed to bring in crowd due to bad talk coming from last night's premiere shows and Sreenu Vaitla's image post terrible flop of Aagadu. All in all, Bruce Lee got below par openings for a Charan movie all over the world. | ||

Well, that has got Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and their managers to question the causes. Though it was said that Chiranjeevi will do a song and some fight sequences, the film did not match up to the expectations of mega fans. So they are wondering if the audience did not like the title or if Sreenu Vaitla's Aagadu failure had impacted the collections. Though it is felt that family audiences did not turn up, the fact remains that family audiences don't come on opening day. So there is further discussion as to what could have gone wrong. At least, mass audiences should have come argue some from the mega family. Usually, Sreenu Vaitla has a good market in the US. Though the film was released in 200 theatres, the collections were terribly low and the film made $2.80 lakhs, which is way too less for a film. It is said that the team had wanted to cross the collections of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. But now, they have given up on the thought as the collections are not as per expectations. Well, in short, Bruce Lee has truly got the mega family thinking. | ||

Mega Family Dissects Bruce Lee Openings October 17 , 2015 | UPDATED 09:02 IST Though the film was much hyped and a lot has been spoken by Sreenu Vaitla and Ram Charan, the film hasn't got the kind of openings that a mega hero' film has to get. Especially, the collections were pretty low in Ceded area and mega family is said to have started post mortem of the situation to figure out what went wrong and where. Also, the presence of Chiranjeevi hasn't helped the film one bit. |
