`Bruce Lee` is a strictly average commercial Pot-boiler. Story : Bruce Lee (Ram Charan), a stunt man works as a body double in Tollywood. He has immense love for his family and especially sister (Kriti Kharbanda) and does any thing for her. Riya (Rakulpreet) who adores sincere Police officers falls for Bruce Lee watching him beat up the baddies in such a getup for the sake of one of his friend. Both together become witness to Deepak Raj`s (Arun Vijay) Illegal Activities due to sheer curiosity of Riya. Who is behind Deepak and how Bruce Lee solves the mess forms the rest. Performances: Ram Charan has improved by leaps and bounds with his Comedy timing and did a better job than his Post- Magadheera Releases. He Danced like a dream which is a Major highlight in the flick. Rakulpreet did a fine job with her limited role and is at ease with Charan in Dance numbers. Sampath is Adequate. Arun Vijay is fine. Rao Ramesh is Very good. Kriti Kharbanda, Nadhiya, Tisca, Brahmanandam, Posani, Prithvi, Saptagiri, Mukesh Rishi, Nagendra Babu, Vennela Kishore ane etc are adequate. Technical Departments: Music: Thaman`s tunes are a major plus and Background Score is equally good. Cinematography: Good. Editing: Adequate. Action/Stunts: Fairly Decent but over the top at times. Analysis : The 1st half of the flick is Okay and manages to hold onto the audience interest with Decent comedy and Excellent song numbers. The Plot revealed in interval is an ages old one and from then on it all goes down hill only saved by the Mega star`s Cameo in Climax. 1st Half is Largely okay and strictly below average 2nd half makes it an average affair for regular cine-goers. It is the Script which is to be blamed here being weak both in story and narration. Ram Charan, Thaman and Manoj Paramahamsa tried their best and saved the film to an extent making it a one time watch for Mega Fans. Highlights : 1. Charan`s Dances. 2. Mega Star`s Cameo. Plus: 1. Songs & BGM. 2. Chiru Cameo. Minus 1. Weak Story and Narration. 2. Lack of Strong Emotional Connect. Rating: 2.75 / 5 ( Strictly for Mega Fans ) Box-office Verdict : The film has to cash in on as much as it can in this Festive 10 Days. It has scope to do Decent Business considering the Commercial Aspects but the Early morning BO is a shocker. May end as an average at best considering the Holiday Season if not a complete failure. No Signature |
