The Martian I am a little biased. The novel by Andy Weir is my favorite book. The movie managed to skim through most of the "science" and ended up treating a few of the really interesting stuff as "Blink and You Miss It" sequences. (Case in point, the radioactive heating system) Also, finally how he managed to get into the crater from the top? Not shown in the movie. But in the movie, this is an elaborate sequence with a couple of times the rover completely toppling. But in the end, good movie. Liked it. Did not love it. 3.5 out of 5. Talwar When I walked into the cinema, I had absolutely no clue what this movie was about. Turned out to be a real life caper based on the infamous Aarushi murder case. The movie is a classic textbook definition of "Hard hitting". It disturbed me completely for a couple of days. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't think about anything else. By far, the worst movie I have seen till date - not because of the movie itself - which is a very crisply made no-nonsense amazingly performed movie in the recent past - but because of the theme and the way it all panned out. Granted, the movie is NOT an unbiased account. It clearly takes the side of one of the parties in the gruesome development. No rating from me.
