In principle I oppose bans.. but there is a precedence in most part of the world and Indian constitution too adopted, thus we have blasphemy laws too.
dont know why it is extended to buffalo and oxen but happy as few more animals got spared from torture

Ban on cow slaughter exist from decades in many states.
Most dalits tinedi buffalo or ox.. Not cow
Some states allow only after a certificate 'fit for slaughter'
North east, Kerala, goa there is no ban as there exists a tradition of consuming beef.
Only recently the Maharashtra govt extend the ban on cow slaughter to buffalo and oxen too. If I remember correctly there is no ban on import.
In this backdrop, I am wondering what is this new found love for beef among sickular?

Normal public lo only minute percent gets effected and they hardly care. Lekapote ee patiki veedhi poratalu jarigevi..
All in all, be happy at least few animals got spared. And fight for the rights of rest and prove as a civilization we are getting btr |

Zuleswar: In this DB..Why are vegetarians the most vociferous group in supporting the beef ban (Mav,coke, tilakam, bongaram..thikka sankaram..etc etc).
Nenu "beef ban" topic lo vociferous ga ekkada argue chesa mesharu? maree camedy kakapothe .. and by the way .. I am not for a "ban" of anything .. I only try to educate ppl on making the right choices. Nothing more than that. However, I do give a little back, when ppl resort to stupid arguments. But thats not vociferous, I believe.
