TV9 did use their advertisements time for a free social message advocating the elimination of caste in names. And it's CEO Ravi Prakash even did away with surname for this reason. Whether one channel's message will substantially impact the society is debatable but they definitely did make an attempt and this man definitely refuses to associate with any caste. Do you add your caste name to your name? I know another person who attaches caste name to people who don't do it. Sometimes even to people like Jaiprakash Narayan and Ravi Prakash who are vocal opponents of the caste system. That person (CV Reddy from Manajagan.com) attaches his caste name to his name so he wants everybody to do it! Otherwise, he forcefully does it for them!
