Musk/kasturi is referenced both in Ayurveda and scriptures - kasturi tilakam - the fragrance comes from deer glands ... Modern medicine uses active ingredients isolated from many traditional remedies - removing the other risk/gross factors .. Does not make either system wrong - for all my interest/studying of Ayurveda I will not consume panchagavya or such cos my aversion prevents me from doing that .. If you do not have that aversion well and good but expecting everyone to go beyond that is unrealistic.. Also natural does not mean safe - other than foods traditionally been eaten and tested for safety - all other plants have potential to make people sick , cause disease etc- the only good safe natural guideline is don't put anything on your skin that you cannot eat  and most of us do not follow thatThe foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim | ||
