According to the latest information, Jagan went to the RFC along with former TTD Trust Board chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and spent more than an hour with Ramoji Rao in the evening. YSR Congress party sources say it was just a courtesy call, as Jagan was seeking support of Ramoji Rao and his Eenadu newspaper for his fast-unto-death programme at Guntur demanding special category status to Andhra Pradesh. However, Jagan’s meeting with Ramoji Rao raised many an eyebrow in the media and political circles. If he wanted to seek Ramoji Rao’s support for his deeksha, he could have called up and asked for the same. There was no need for Jagan to go all the way to RFC to meet his once-a-bitter rival. So, there must definitely be a different reason for both the media barons to meet. And this is not for the first time that Jagan had a friendly chat with Ramoji Rao. Both of them met at a wedding a couple of months ago and they had a brief discussion after exchanging pleasantries. Speculations are rife that Jagan might have sought Ramoji’s help to wriggle out of the Enforcement Directorate and CBI cases against him, as Eenadu chairman has very good relationship with the NDA government.
