UPDATE : There has been a setback as far as Ambarish's transplant surgery is concerned. During the pre-surgery screening tests , the doctors have discovered a new nodule next to the liver. This nodule was tested by biopsy and found malignant. Due to this, the doctors have ruled out transplant as an option for now. He has been recommended for radiation therapy and continuation of chemotherapy after that for a few months. If the desired progress is seen in a few months, then the doctors will contemplate and decide on the possibility of the transplant being done at that stage. The desired status for the possibility of a transplant will hopefully come in 6 to 8 months. Until then radiation therapy and chemotherapy will continue. The family is totally shaken up by this unexpected setback and are still coming to terms with the new situation. They feel totally helpless. They solicit your opinion as to what to do with the funds collected for Ambarish's treatment. If there are some donors who have donated in very difficult times and would like to see their donations routed back to them , then the family is willing to do so. Otherwise we wish for your consent to use the funds for his ensuing treatment and hopefully a subsequent transplant surgery. Once again , Ambarish and Pratibha join their hands in their deepest felt thanks to all the people who extended a helping hand and made them feel wanted in this world.
