Memu regular ga idly pindi lo oats kalipi cooker lo pedatamu..bavuntundi..we can add carrott, grean peas etc., also...maree ekkuva ayipote taste potundi..

Ingredients:
Regular oats - 1 Cup
Idly rava - 1/2 cup
Curd/Yogurt - 1/2 cup
carrot/beans grated - 1/2 cup
Oil - 3 tbsp
Seasoning (ante thalimpu samanu) - as per your preference
Salt to taste

Procedure:

Fry the oats in a dry pan till they turn brown. Leave them to cool off and blend them to coarse powder.

In a mixing bowl add the oats powder, idli rava, carrot/beans, curd and mix them well. Add little bit of water to make it a think paste

Add the heated seasoning (mustard/urad dal/cumin seeds/dry mirchi fried in oil) to the above mixture

Keep it aside for 10-15 min.

Now take idli pans, pour the above mix in the idli holes and steam them for 20 min

Take the idly out and server with tomato chutney...

Ghuma ghuma lade oats idly ready... Lots of fiber and good carbs...
