On Friday exams. To ensure that Muslim students of class X and XII CBSE schools are able to attend Juma prayers even during the Board exams, the Kerala CBSE School Management Association has asked for change in exam timings. Recently, the directorate of Higher Secondary Education changed the model examination timings of class XII exams to be held on Friday. Khan said that they are not demanding any change in the date of exams but requesting change of timings on Fridays. "Considering the dire necessity of a large number of students, it will not cause any difficulties to pre-pone the morning timing from 10.30 am to 10 am and finish the exam by 1 pm instead of 1.30 pm on Friday", said Khan. Meanwhile, the directorate of Higher Secondary Education on January 7, issued a circular modifying the model examination timings of class XI and XII exam. The exams started February 4 and concluded on Monday. As per the circular for class XI, "The time of commencement of the examination is advanced to 9.30 am" and for class XII, "The examination will begin at 1.30 pm on all days except on Friday.
