Recently found that it is becoming extremely costly to refuel in india for longer flights. So all airlines including British, KLM, Lufthansa canceling their flight to Europe from India route and having connection at Dubai with middle eastern airlines. The fueling in Dubai is like peanuts. It is very cheap and they can make round trip with one tank to india from dubai. so in future forget about all direct flight to india from Europe. | ||

may be not for international , it will have demand for domestic , as more and more people will have money and will be able to travel in flight , as a tourist destination. Gannavaram is the airport , and Amaravathi is not feasable in next 30 to 50 years, it has enough demand now and same is vizag , if few international flights are added should be good to - | ||

For the size they are planning, they need more than 100-125 flights per day(I think Vizag is now close to 50-55). (This is GMR's numbers for a break even). The govt and the airlines has to demonstrate that they will get the numbers to this level. Until the numbers come close to this, they will not even initiate work. Influence tho start chesedi kaadu idi..private parties like GMR will not build airports until they have a break even after at least few years. Full flights capacity tho start chesina, it will be a loss venture for atleast 4-5 years (Ex: Hyd airport) | ||
