Poor states should be merged into the more economical states. We have way too many regulations and restrictions related to states. People in this state cant use that, resources in this state can only be used in this state. Special package, special status should be banned. I'm not against helping poor states but all discretionary spending should be under complete control of central govt. Not a single rupee should be given to state governments directly. They destroyed their states and now demanding everyone to pay up. | ||

I agree with all ur points..but there is only so much anyone can do.. ..no one can wait for ever.. ippudu kaapothe repu voices r bound to raise against this northie states bleeding all the central funds and stuck in their own rotten hole.. same goes with reservations..since we cant remove them..include everyone is the way to go...adhe jarugutondhi...and futurelo everyone will be included so it longer serves its purpose.. and all this, if it causes unrest and leads to changes(be it secession or what it ever it is..)..that's natural.. of course changes like these happen over a period of 50-100yrs..im not talking 5-10yrs.. | ||

This holds only for a country under fiscal/political union and where movement of people is free...people who talk about secession ignore. 1) If one part of the country is developed and rest not developed then developed regions have to pay for the deficits of underdeveloped regions through central grants. This is a drain of resources from developed regions to underdeveloped regions 2) cheap labor from under developed regions flood developed regions and dip wages, this is advantage corporations but disadvantage to common folks and wage earners 3)Increase in migration from under developed to developed regions in a country alter demographics, create social tensions, increase crime 4) Under developed regions tend to have high birth rates and over time all the development gains of country will be neutralized 5) it's not possible for any region in a free country to maintain its economic advantage if there is severe imbalance between different regions of country 6)Development of backward regions can be an opportunity for well advanced regions to expand their businesses, their growth can provide opportunity for high end job seekers from developed regions 7)If backward regions develop there will be increase in purchasing power and it helps businesses across the country and resources across the country can be put to best use 8)lack of infrastructure in backward regions make infrastructure in developed regions incomplete, it can't be maintained with ever increasing migration from under developed areas 9) If huge chunk of population lives in under developed regions then country can't make any geo-political impact, it doesn't matter at global stage 10) finally, people in any region in a free country can't be happy with wretchedness all around |
