he Andhra Pradesh government signed an MoU worth Rs. 23 crore with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in February 2007 for modernising the airport.[1] Works on the new terminal building to accommodate 150 passengers and a control tower were completed in 2011 at a cost of Rs. 38 crores. No dude.. credit should go to UPA and Congress.. International status was sanctioned and foundation stone was laid by Manmohan in 2010. Works were started in 2012 by Kiran kumar reddy and it was estimated to get completed by mid 2015 , july. Chinta Mohan TPT M.P should be given most of the credit for his efforts. He was the one, who fought with central gov and got approval and money for its development. | ||
