Ysr2009:oh.. idaa nee actual problem..ardham ayyindi..
What's wrong with that? Youtube paid movies, iTunes, Google Play, YuppTV etc. are an easy way to sell the movie electronically and make a lot of money...again I am sure that the sooner it is made available, the more money it can make. Thokkalohdi:
How will the people know in advance unless it starts happening all the time? If I were the producer of Srimanthudu, I would telecast it next month end and make a lot of money. I wouldn't tell at the time of release that I am going to screen on TV so soon. If other people follow my lead and ultimately people figure out that they won't have wait long to watch for free on TV, then so be it. I won't give up a few crores of extra money to help producers of future movies!! "Sakshi is a most balanced and independent media. This has no affiliation with any political party," Jagan had said. Shikari:
What about movies that finish their theatre run just a little before a major festival? Why won't those movies get telecasted within a month after the theater run ends? Definitely the television screening will get more money if screened while the movie is still fresh. I suspect that there is some restriction on the TV rights holder that they shouldn't screen upto a certain number of months or something but I wonder who controls it. Ideally producers council or film chamber or some such association that wants to protect the industry must do it. Because individually speaking, it makes sense for them to telecast as soon as possible but collectively speaking, they all lose if everybody starts doing that. Not just DVDs, even TV telecast is usually very late. Obviously, the producer/rights holder would make more money if telecasted sooner. Why don't they do it? For instance, Srimanthudu's theatre run would be over this month, why don't they telecast on TV next month and release the DVD shortly after that? I know that if all the producers/rights holders do this, then the collections in theaters will drop as some people would want to wait for the DVD or TV telecast. However, if one producer does it today, he/she would benefit, right? They why aren't they doing it? Why not Baahubali on TV next month and Srimanthudu soon after that? I am surprised that even movies like Dongaata (Lakshmi Manchu) and Bham bolenath (Nandeep) aren't out on DVD or on original print online! "Sakshi is a most balanced and independent media.
