Some people in the Telugu film industry believe that comedian Bramhanandam is one 'indispensable' element for a film's success. Well, or so it was thought till recently. But that seems to be changing slowly and steadily. Srimanthudu does not have Bramhanandam and yet the film has been declared a big hit. In fact, Srimanthudu was supposed to have Brahmi in it, but director Koratala Siva decided against this and made his film without him. And now, Srimanthudu is set to create new records in the Telugu film industry. Other films where Brahmanandam was not missed were Baahubali and Pataas. And goes without saying that Pataas was the biggest hit of Kalyanram and Baahubali has entered the Rs 500 crore club which is a huge milestone for Telugu industry. Now it remains to be seen if this will become a norm instead of an exception. Like a film dialogue goes, 'content unnodiki cutout akkarledu', there is growing feeling that films cannot be centred around Brahmanandam. Instead, Brahmanandam needs to be put into roles that suit his age and experience that are integral to the movie.
