International piracy racket busted Piracy affected many films and with it killed the dreams and lives of people associated with the film industry. Even though filmmakers got tough laws and John Doe injunctions,like Baahubali filmmakers, they couldn't stop piracy. It is coming out that Anty Piracy wing busted international piracy and Jabalpur police arrested Priyank Paradeshi, kingpin of international piracy gang who is also a senior manager in a IBM in US. People were shocked to know that Paradeshi watched the film on July 10th, the day of Baahubali release on net. Anti piracy cell of telugu Film chamber of Commerce from Hyderabad identified the source and to their shocker found that the gang members operating from Francce and Astralia pirated 1243 movies including Salman Bajrangi Bhainaan and Amir Khan's PK. They had 65 websites and even had separate payment gateways to get payments from those who subscribed to the websites. Rajkumar Akella, chairman, Anti Video Piracy Cell, Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce said "The gang is far advanced in its operations. They even use bitcoins for payments," Police arrested syndicates like Dileep of Gwalior, Tony of Ghaziabad and Aman (Faizeel) of Bhopal. Rahul, Faisal, Jitendra (Rinku), Aditya Raj and Tofique, all of Delhi. Jitendra was said to be working for Tata Communications. Rajkumar added "Contrary to the impression that some individuals resorted to piracy of films to gain some money as a means of livelihood, the busting of the racket shows that it is a well-oiled machinery with educated people involved," |
