kalanjali is not pricey .u will find sarees at reasonable cost when there is sale once my mother bought 2 sareess each 4000 cost . what she said was they r good quality nad they actually cost 6000 even if u go and bargaina t all stores. my cousins also bought some salwar suites .tehys aid not pricey what THEYS AID WAS BRISAH is super expensive but kalanjali was reasonable | ||

Thanks for the inputs. You make some valid points but the point about rents being too high seems contradictory to your other points. Rents are purely a function of demand and supply. At the most, they may take some time to adjust (because of the long term nature of commercial lease agreements) when there's a sudden change in demand or supply but they can't continue to remain high while the retailers are doing poorly. I do have some anecdotal evidence from one of my friends that salaries in the IT sector in India are stagnating. He says there's a lot of pressure on them from clients w.r.t billing rates. Margins are squeezed annadu. I know a few people who started selling clothes and jewelry from home by using social media to advertise. These people don't even pay taxes as far as I know.
