Proposal to shift zoox draws flak ••• is an essential component of the learning experience of children. It is an integral part of the urban eco-system and has to be accessible to all. Thousands of daily visitors, who go around the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, would have to travel far to take a look at the exotic animals, if the local minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao can push through his proposal to relocate the ••• Park. âThe ••• is a national property. Why should it be shifted, is it coming in the way of some national project or is it being replaced by a project with greater public utility,â asks APCC general secretary and former Visakha South MLA Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao. There appears to be a hidden agenda behind the proposal. ••• is an essential component of the learning experience of children. It is an integral part of the urban eco-system and has to be accessible to all, says Vizagpatnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry vice-president Monish Row. Everywhere in the world the ••• is a part of the city and easily accessible from any corner. ••• actually enhances the life of a city dweller. Its importance in the lives of urban residents cannot be underestimated, he says. The Vizag ••• is ideally located and easily accessible. Nothing should be done to disturb it, says former Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University K.V. Ramana. The proposal to shift it to Kambalakonda is equally disturbing. The Kambalakonda Nature Park is in ecological equilibrium and human invasion would destroy the delicate balance. Once the ••• is shifted and some other project comes up there, it would be broken into small land parcels and eventually it would make its way into hands of private individuals, Mr Srinivasa Rao says. The ••• offers a mesmerising and captivating experience to the visitor and takes them into a world that is far away from the routine day-to-day living.
