kurrod vichalavidiga evarki padithey aadiki ela apdithey alaa ye boku bomma anna sarey min 3.5 esthaad taran adarsh lekka...dheeniki maree worst ga 2/5 antunnaad....what went wrong??? ************************************************************ ************ Baahubali - 2/5 In Short: Extravagant... yet disappointing.... no soul.... missing Rajamouli's magic.... graphics and just graphics only. Positives: Rana and his voice, his diction, a war episode and couple of scenes here and there, very good BGM. Weakest Links: Surprisingly Prabhas, his voice & diction and M.M.Keeravani gari paatalu. In Detail: Story starts with Sivagami (Ramyakrishna) trying to protect a new born by swimming across a river and in the process she dies but before dying she hands over the kid to a tribal leader (Rohini) and she also points to a very high waterfall before drowning herself in the river. This kids grows up as Sivudu... he makes multiple attempts to climb up the highest point of the waterfall. One fine day he sees a dream girl by name Avanthika (Tamanna) and in search of her he finally succeeds in climbing up against the waterfall to reache the kingdom of Mahishmati. This is where he comes to know about his past..... we will be introduced with one after the other characters of Baahubali. During this story build up Rajamouli added so many unnecessary scenes. I've never scene such unnecessary scenes in his previous movies. When he started this movie it was meant to be a just 3-4 hour movie in one part. In my opinion, half way through he lost the plot and unnecessarily dragged it as 2 parts, pure marketing strategy. In this process he added unnecessary characters. Movie drags in many places... only saving grace is Bhallaladev (Rana).... he has got good screen presence, he acted with such an ease, his voice and diction are an asset he overshadowed Prabhas in many scenes. Rajamouli depended too much on technology and lost the soul. For me it looked like they made this movie to showcase their command on graphics and technology. Rajamouli should have made it as simple one part and avoided so many unnecessary scenes. When the songs came, people started walking out of the theater... a clear indication of pathetic compositions. M.M.Keeravani garu, sir meeku punyam untadi meeru paatalu paadadam maneyandi sir. His BGM composition is outstanding though. Overall a disappointing film from S.S.Rajamoule. Commercially it should have broke most of the day 1 records all over. Janalu kuda edo jaathara ki vachinattu pilla jalla tho vachesaru.... same theater lo close to 10-12 premier shows ante imagine chesukondi janallo unna expectations. S.S.Rajamouli garu first time thappatadugu vesesaru. PS: Half way through my laptop crashed...
