Film has all the grandiose but story and screenplay fell flat. Many guessed all the scenes from the beginning. Rajamouli who concentrated more on direction should have given some thought on screenplay. First quarter drags at snail's pace while pre interval scenes are attractive. Rajamouli relived the war scenes. Prabhas, Rana though paled in dialogue delivery, attracted in other aspects. A visual wonder has been created by Rajamouli. | ||

Sadly there is nothing more to Bahubali besides the visual extravaganza. It has a beaten to death revenge plot that has been stretched out with some absolutely ridiculous scenes that doesn't help the movie in anyway. For instance Avanthika and Shivudu's romantic track is pretty lame and seems out of place. The movie takes an eternity to engage the viewers. Lackluster screenplay has to be blamed for -gulte | ||

There are plenty of references one would jot down in line to target Rajamouli. Starting from his own ‘Magadheera’ to Hollywood inspirations ‘Troy, Lord of the Rings, Hercules’ etc, Rajamouli was on non-stop work.
