In Hollywood films made on the Superheroes like Batman, Spiderman and Superman are never rated but get a universal applause, even if they are under-rated. In my view, “ Bahubali – the Beginning” is one such film – it is rated for the part of the critical analysis but the rating doesn’t have to influence your decision to watch just like the Superhero films | ||

Rediff review - Sukanya verma Review: Bahubali is mega, ingenious and envelope pushing! - 4/5 As it turns out, it is everything I expected it to be -- mega, ingenious and envelope pushing. There's never a dull moment in this 160-minutes long epic fantasy about a lost prince, rebellion, revenge, rivalry and a shocking betrayal to seize the throne. All the actors do a competent job but Daggubati’s suave menace, Prabhas's charismatic energy, Sathyaraj's stony-faced enigma and Ramya's seasoned ••••• stand out. A lot has transpired in The Beginning itself but how these characters will emerge when the story finally wraps up is thrilling to look forward to. Almost three hours go like a breeze in the company of Bahubali’s eclectic protagonists, where every single one makes an 'entry' designed for wolf-whistles. Heck, I could say that about some of the exits too. Especially one involving a decapitated figure. Bahubali-The Beginning isn’t quite finished; though it concludes on a delightfully stupefying note. The rest of the epic fantasy is scheduled for release sometime in 2016. Films that end on a cliffhanger note are usually frustrating. Bahubali isn't. The first part of the epic leaves behind dollops of rip-roaring entertainment to relish till it’s back to finish what it started in perhaps even more jaw-dropping manner. Rajamouli incites such confidence. | ||

This is what i am saying in the morning. 1. Vandhamandhini oke sari pampu share khan 2. Thippara Meesam. 3. Singamalai antoo arupulu. ela vunte telugu mass and day 1 audience ki inkonchem kick and voogipoye experience vundedhemo. but it won't appeal to larger set of audience. mainly non telugu. now the movie is universal and defiantly all telugu and indian families will love the movie. It is to the director's credit that every aspect of the film -- action, mind-boggling set design and choreography -- lives up to this epic film of gigantic scale. The choreography in the song that has Shiva disrobing Avantika to get her in touch with her feminine side, is an absolute gem. Don't miss it. | ||

Prabhas is perfectly cast to play the larger-than-mere mortal, super-mighty Baahubali part. When this man with rippling muscles, admirable physique and twinkling eyes, picks up an entire 'shiva linga' to move it to a better place, or tears through thousands of enemy soldiers to straight get to their 'senapati', there is not a moment of doubt that he isn't capable of doing all that and more. Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah are limited in their acting capabilities but fit snugly in the whole scheme of things. Thanks to SS Rajamouli's superb imagination in writing (screenplay by Rajamouli along with Rahul Koda, Madhan Karky and Vijayendra Prasad) and execution, this magnum opus turns out to be an experience that should be enjoyed only on the big screen. | ||
