annai also, it depends on which city you live.. SFO processing center is the slowest of all.. If you city comes under Chicago, NY or DC processing centers then the process is bit faster. and CKGS has no control over the process once they fwd the documents to embassy and they even have no visibility on what's happening to these apllications inside embassy. nenu ninnane matladanu. it takes 5 business days to get visa and will be valid for 6 months. in case extend chesukovali ante every state has frro center anta. if you go and talk to them (per se, fill some forms blah blah), your kids extension will be done. I just called them and they saying, total processing time is 1 to 2 weeks i.e. I will receive receive the card in 2 weeks. I even had my wife call them again and got same info. Same in my case. Received on 22nd and sent it to consulate on July 1st. It took 5 days for passport to reach from CKGS SFO office to Indian consulate in SFO. I am sure an ant would've carried it faster than this...simply ridiculous.
