Rajusk bro I saw many in my relatives who lived very miserably At their last stage of their of life inspite having many kids Grand kids. Don't know why always that happens ? Is becoming old is curse or what? Y one should go that kind of treatment without Any mistakes ? It seems to be life cycle those who treat badly their parents In old age they also face the same then they realize but it's too late already Driving is my PASSION. might be a radical thought..but definitely a thought in my mind ..for myself. the day ..I am dependent on someone for continuing my life..don't need to continue living that way..specially if you are sure, you will not be of any value add to the family..anymore.. seen someone who executed this plan(probably on purpose)..of course he was 96..and was probably requiring someone's help for the first time in life.. | ||

depends.. say if parents are healthy and can take care themselves then buy them an apartment or rent one for them. If parents need care then look for a good retirement commmunity/old age home and put them there. | ||

There are high percentage of people living in India who do not stay with their parents. Some folks in US have financial independence to go back but they prefer staying here. Of course, it is their individual choice and nobody has any right to criticize them. This or an Old Age Home is bad idea. Retirement Village is better option. The main difference is number of attenders per old-person/old-couple. Retirement Village lo typically they can arrange one attender per couple, larger management, somewhat dedicated service. Almost upper-bound, Rs 50,000 per month. Old Age Home or Retirement Home is like a working-women's hostel. Even if I move to India, I won't have neither the time, nor that kind of money every month, for my parents. See to it that parents are independent on their own, if they can walk, talk and do their stuff all by themselves. If bed-ridden then comes the actual problem. Nyaayangaa ayithe, every one should plan their own retirement and their own death-bed as well. Our entire life-earnings, life-savings, youth anthaa mee gurinchi spend chesaam, so in our old-age, even though we can walk and talk, we are going to lean onto your shoulders for the next 20 years, despite you are married and have your own family that you have to provide for, anatam samanjasam kaadu!!! It's debatable One thing parents should know is it does not matter own ppl or outsiders Old age lo ppl treat them very badly. If that happens with own family it's more painful moments My suggestion would be old age ppl should have some income either on their own Or kids giving but live separately on their own. Once in a while seeing kids and grand kids is good. Better they should keep less expectations on their kids and grand kids so less painful moments In their last phase of their life. Focus more on their health and happiness by supporting each other is the best way of living Driving is my PASSION. Ball or Bimmer does not matter. | ||
