Everything about this woman is fake. From educational certificates to different alias she used, we have found that she had a knack for impersonating as an IAS officer or whoever circumstances demanded. She would pose as someone looking for a flat and dupe the property dealer showing her around after threatening him that she would implicate him in a rape case. She would get petrol for free from petrol pumps posing as an IAS officer. She used to tell the petrol pump employees that she had forgot her purse at home and would pay again," said a senior police officer.

Nearly two dozen people came to Sodala police station alone on Friday with complaints against the woman. The complaints included property dealers and petrol pump owners. "A property dealer from Bhankrota area said that she had approached him saying that she was looking for a flat. When he took her to an apartment, she extorted him into giving her Rs 10,000. She threatned to lodge a case of rape against her if he didn't pay the money," said the officer.
