A Dysfunctional Punjabi Urban Hi-class Family Goes on to the Cruise Trip n How they found Themselves Got together as a Family is the Single One Line Story. But as Always Zoya Akhtar Presented it With Some Solid Characters n Performances with a touch of her Trade mark Situational Comedy. Movie Stats on a Very Slow Note n takes hell lot of time in Presenting the Characters in first place. Just when i started losing hope on the movie Zoya Succeeded to get some laughs from me at the Interval Point but that doesn't get any marks so the first half Left me underwhelmed on the whole. FIrst half - 2.5/5 Second Half starts Really gud n The pacing is Gud too which First half lacked n tested the patience. Zoya Akhtar/Reema Kagti has written some really solid scenes n the second half which are hilarious n Emotional at the same time, and these Scenes were portrayed really well on screen by some solid performances Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh are the 2 characters who will stay with u for long time. On the whole Second half Is Emotional, Funny n Hits all the right spots n it is literally a Saving grace for the movie. 3.5/5 Anil Kapoor was Fantastic, Ranveer Singh Stands Out Priyanka Was Ok Anushka, Farah Akhtar were not needed they r there just for the sake of being there. Aamir's Voice Over as Pluto Mehra (Pet Dog) worked well at parts. Overall Though this movie has its flaws n up n downs but it is a Gud Dramedy which can be watched on big screen Once. Dil Dhadakne Do - 3/5 |
