1. Central minister will visit Vizag for the foundation stone of SAMEER Electrnics city in Vizag which is coming at an initial investment of 100 cr. 2. An MoU for the construction of an IT tower between Vuda and STPI will be signed soon. The IT tower will come up behind the Vuda building on the land belonging to the urban development authority. 3. Indian Maritime University which is coming up in Vizag at a cost of Rs 65 crore which will be inaugrated by Nitin Gadkari. 4. An extent of 100 acres of land had been identified for setting up Packaging Park. 5. Indian Institute of Package coming up in Vizag. Land his alreayd identified. 6. Foundation for export goods testing lab for which land has been identified in Gambheeram. 7. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade will be laid by union commerce minister Nir-mala Seetaraman. 8. Launching the operations at air cargo terminal for which tenders have been floated to pick an outsourcing agency to take up the operations. 9. Vizag will be the headquarters of the new railway zone. 10. To encourage roof-top solar power metering system, the MP said an exhibition with the solar panel makers and bankers will be held on June 14, 15 and 16 at Viswapriya function hall. He said two colonies involving active resident welfare associations will be identified to take up the solar power project. All these are CENTRAL GOVT PROJECTS. Central govt is definitely doing something for Vizag. I hope state govt will concentrate on IT in Vizag. Iam not from Vizag but IT should be promoted there only which govt is not doing. |
