I think you are getting confused. Carpet area = Total area of your flat footprint (measured wall to wall from outside) minus wall width/area. For instance, if your house measures 25 feet from east wall to west wall but the walls themselves of 1 foot wide, your carpet distance is 23 feet. (Measure wall to wall from inside) Built up area to Carpet area ratio is normally pretty high. However Super Built up area is including your share of the common properties as well. For instance the club house and the open play area. This can be significantly higher than your built up area. You pay for the super built up area. For instance in my case, my apartment is 1800 sq ft (Super built up) but I get a carpet area of slightly less than 1500 sq ft. Naaku nacchindi janaalaki nacchadu...
