my cousins have visited with without any problem. My sister met me just last week during her transit to US and they had no objection when she told them that she is seeing her brother. Just go to immigration check and ask them for transit visa over the immigration counter. when they ask where you are going to stay, just give them the details of your cousin. Never had issues family meeting me during their transit to US. | ||

Yes, you can take transit visa for 48 hours over the immigration counter. | ||

Here's the situation I fly into Heathrow from Hyderabad at around 13:30 London time. My connecting flight is at 11am next day from Gatwick airport. If I now apply for the "Visitor in Transit" visa, am I allowed to stay with my cousin who is in London or will that be a violation? I am asking this because the Visitor in Transit visa application has a specific statement "Do not use this visa if you are planning to visit your family, friends or do sightseeing in the UK" Please let me know if you have any information on this.
