This is not customs we pay At airport (even that also recent change if I am correct state has share). But materials and machiNeary one you pay as import duty and state has share... Pharms pays this high as well as heavy machienary... Even export also has same... | ||

As of latest the "jalak" AP got is that Center instead of grant want us to go for Loan for this project... Hope CENTER grants this project where the report shows promising future ...Also the 8 months feasibility study of this project shows the growth prospects for an hard working state to come back to it's potential .... As I said many times, this ADB project is driving most of CBN govt actions..... - ADB+CII+AP industrial advisors(this was combined study done for this report) committee wants AP to come close to what a "LOGISTICS HUB" is as soon as possible and that takes care of AP's future... Many has wondered why AP is going for airports expansions and small airports in many places...I don't support 15K for bhogapuram but this is what I got answer back just now from a person talking to just now and sharing the same so correct me if any mistakes.... - Also we not having international CUSTOMS in Vizag,Tirupati,Guntur-Vijayawada right now we are letting other states AIRPORTS get central customs on our state industrial&material imports and this is HUGE loss for AP as of Today Just for OIL&GAS drilling GE USA&MALASIA is providing HUGE supply of air imports and we pay lot of customs taxes for these parts in Chennai/Hyderabad and then after cleared they take it to Rajahmundry or Vizag.... One real example how bad we are loosing For a single HUGE GE Turbine import(main turbine base and not included Generator and other parts) in AP we pay close to 10 crores customs and where share of 4 crores is loss to our STATE as 40% is state share from customs....As of today AP units get these in Chennai or Hyd airport and once papers cleared to our Airport..... These customs charges are running into 1000's of crores as of Today..... Not just parts we pay imports customs for almost all raw materials&even Pharma bulk material e.t.c as our state does not have proper clearances YET in Vizag and Rajahmundry or ViJ or Tirupati..... We may soon get customs full fledged in Vizag first to stop this damage.... Also our units are paying AIR EXPORT customs also to neighbours and again loss to AP state... I may be vague on few technicalities here but just wanted to share what I just late night came to know from India.... . having said all above I don't support every action and this govt has dropped balls on many...but still good positive vibes than the past so pumped up bright future GOOD NIGHT and too late already.... Any fact based additions corrections are appreciated.....} |
