I am a pretty good cake decorator - and the kids used to have a lot of fun coming up with creative designs and helping me put them together for bday cakes- from parks to beache parties on tge cake to pokemon and scout camps with fruit leather tents and scouts raosting marshmallows on bday candles - but now they are older and it does not matter as much to them Now its all about tastes and textures The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim | ||

That's strange - the bundt cakes actually cook faster because of the hollow in the centre - check your recipe for excess moisture if the outsides get burnt before the inside cooks .. Or if you are baking too long .. dark pans require a little less time .. My kids like the caramelised nutty bundt cake - I coat the pan with caramel before pouring the batter in - tastes great but sometimes does not release the cake easily - my boys don't care much about the pretty factor so its ok - but if you do, cool the cake a little , release sides eith a skewer and heat the bottom of the pan to melt the caramel before turning over The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim | ||

My cakes in the Bundt pan keep getting burnt, is it because the interior is black and it conducts heat faster thereby needing lower temperatures. | ||

Yeah cupcakes i use the non - stick metal pans but always use cupcake liners .same with cookie sheets My Springform pans are stainless steel so not an issue.. Glass is the safest but as you said glass lo cup cake moulds dorakavu and many other form factors. Nowadays even non-stick is avoided by many folks in the US because of the coating and some random research around it. | ||

anand ji never used them other than for spatulas antunnaru guess she is neutral on whether to use or not. Anyway glassware lo kuda major component is silicon ey kada so safety wise shouldn't be an issue. My only concern is with the filler chemicals and colouring agent that they use in the moulds. Am a prolific baker but I stick(pun unintended) to the old school glass and metal, non-stick bakeware...don't use silicone other than for spatulas..
