If you want to do full time MBA, then ideally it would have better after 5-6 years of experience. 10 years is a bit too much. The opportunity costs are too high and you may not get a material jump in role or pay, unless you do it in an Ivy League college, but that is not guaranteed. Karchu chala avuddhi, easily upwards of 300 K for a 2 year program, no chance of loans, GPA and GMAT scores should be upwards of 97-98% percentile and apart from that - you should have played the violin in your teenage years, taught underprivileged kids in Rwanda, been a part of a failed startup and have a passion for languages and cooking. I honestly don't even consider exec MBA an MBA. It is just a money making opportunity by the colleges. If the company is willing to sponsor, one can consider but otherwise waste of time. Sontha company pettukotaniki MBA is not that useful, in fact i would say it will demotivate you. To pay of the debts, you will have to start working right away and kill any startup ambitions. | ||

Best is to go for 1 year programs (MIT sloan, INSEAD and few colleges offer it). Bay area lo unte you can go to Haas weekends and evening program. You cant say that. I know two Indians who did MBA part time for NYU Stern and Columbia. Finished in 4 years and had 8 yrs experience when they started. But they did in information systems and finance. They are still continuing in the same job as team managers. Its because of their mindset. Someone dynamic can apply for a IT Management Consultant Position in Accenture etc and grow to partner in 5-10 years. Its depends on us. Chethilo degree unte ne saripodhu.
