No. You don't need a visa. Your flight (American airlines) arrive at terminal 3. Your Etihad flight departs from terminal 4. So, it's just internal transfer within terminals through connection bus. If it's 3 hours and your flight from US is delayed, you will be in soup. The security checks at Heathrow are really time taking and horrible. Hope this helps.
