Rahul:

Oh...Gangi govu lanti nuvvokadivi unnav kaduu...sry...U rock bro...

All Djoko fans are relieved he skipped Madrid incl. me. Thing is Nole has been playing non-stop and winning nearly every tournament he entered this year - means that he had to play a hell lot of matches at a very high level.

He was visibly tired in Monte Carlo in the final itself. This guy deserved a break rather than have the winning streak snap somewhere.

Also, he's not had much love in Raffa's country where they keep booing him all the time. So, no point getting demotivated there.

Plus, Madrid court plays very differently to Paris' French Open, despite being a clay tourney, so nothing to gain in terms of experience.

Lastly, he has no points to defend as he skipped this tourney last year too.

So, all in all, a great break to rejuvenate his batteries and sit back & analyze his opponents while they slug it out.

Nishikori, Berdych & Raffa are the ones to watch out for in Madrid.

Do you think BJP govt. is doing enough to take GDP growth to 7.5 pct from 5.5?

Is 7.5 a realistic number for 2015?
Forget what you know about buying fair businesses at wonderful prices; instead, buy wonderful businesses at fair prices - Munger to Buffett

Nenu konukunnadi New Gurgaon lo le, Vatika project...

Darth_vader:

On a side note how is Caperberry in bengaluru? Is it worth spending that much?

Nenunnappudu it was not that well known. I never went there. I checked on Zomato, it is not that costly isn't it. But appears to be a very thin menu. If you like that cuisine, you should try it out. It is not often that we get good tapas or paellas in India.

Regulate cheyyali ante endhuku cheyyaleru? Even over here this regulation is only about bankers money not the consumers money IMO.

Unfortunately unlike in the west, here the lenders in India have recourse to the other assets of the borrowers. In many cases the borrowers would be more than happy to default on their EMIs and have the lender take over the asset. But unlike the west, to my knowledge, the lenders can still go after my other assets if there is a shortfall. So the lenders in India are less concerned about the state of affairs as they know that the consumers balls can be squeezed. It is the consumers who are shortchanged. If the bankers were really that keen on getting the developers to the table they would have done so long back. They are also beneficiaries in the Ponzi scheme so they are not complaining. After all the new project launches and the advances are going to clear their debt.

Only in Hyd, the situation is good in terms of %age of delayed projects/ total launches. Rest of the country is horrendous.

Like all Ponzi schemes, the scheme will crash when the chain breaks and the public have woken up. Consequently Delhi lo there has been a 20-30% price decline since 2012 in some areas.

What additional regulation is needed for the power sector? They have been stuck for environmental issues and for lack of input fuel agreements and bad financial management.

Ikkada consumer direct money is involved whereas in the power sector the consumers are less directly affected, let the bankers fight their battles.

Darth_vader:

Lol... hypocrites why regulate only RE why not other sectors?

Wrong argument - Just because others are not regualated, does not mean that you do not regulate RE. The amount of money locked up in RE by middle class investors because of delayed investors is running into more than 1 lakh crores. If there is any other industry that you can show where this amount of public money is involved and thre is this level of public despair and grievance, surely the govt. would look into it. When NBFC, FIs, Banks, Chit funds can be closely regulated, why not real estate which in most cases is nothing but a ponzi financial scheme. Nenu ikkada Delhi lo 40 lakhs pay chesa oka flat kosam as first couple of instalments, big builder, 1.5 years ayyindi, vaadu inka stone kooda veyaledhu..adhi situation. He would be busy rotating the money elsewhere, clearing the debts of another project, or buying land elsewhere, launching another project, collecting advance again and invest that elsewhere and the cycle goes on.

I had written about this a couple of times too, that the BJP govt has watered down some of the important clauses in the Real estate bill in favour of the builders - around escrow reduction from 70% to 50%, changing carpet area to rentable area, changes to building plan being allowed etc etc.

Good that Rahul is putting pressure on the BJP govt. Before you start pointing fingers saying what about DLF, what about Vadra etc etc, on this specific issue one can't fault him and the BJP govt. deserves a kick on their backside for diluting a decently strong bill that the UPA had drafted.

The NDA somehow seems to be adept at making a lot of bad moves.
