EAD is NOT a immigration status...As wellsfargo has pointed out, you must be on H1..If so, your dependent spouse on H4 is legally eligible to be a student as far as I know! No need to change status from H4 to F1 at least for studies as far as I can say... | ||

Maharaja, F1 meeda ki velthe in state evadu isthadu. In state rules vary differently for different states. california lo in state ki F1 not eligible. H visas, L visas etc anni eligible. However you need to be resident of the state for 1 year. Now EAD anedi oka status kaadu. You are either on H1 or GC status. EAD is just an eligibility to work. so it can't be used for anything other than permission to work. 2+ years of 100% open source software usage... | ||

EAD is for employement not for schools. They have to change to F1 to join school. So you will be internationla student just like other MS or BS studnets from india.. only MS doctors have advantage..as they do H1 for them.. | ||
