Nenu chebutha kadha, i feel that Brahmins have been internally (within India) migrating for higher education for longer time than other communities. And moreover most of the Telugu people who used to be in govt jobs in cities like Delhi or Mumbai a generation earlier used to be Brahmins. Kammas or Reddies etc were just coming out of agriculture. Brahmins were a step ahead in education until a few decades back. So most probably if you have gone to a Stephens, that means your dad must have been a govt. employee or pvt. employee in those cities which in most cases would mean that you were a Brahmin. Hyderabad lo koochoni antha awareness undadhu. Take the case of my apartment complex - there are 3 Telugu families out of which the other 2 are Brahmins who were never in AP. They come from a Jamshedpur, Gwalior etc. as their parents used to work there. Take someone like Sitaram Yechury (in Open Magazine link yesterday). Similar scenario, father govt. employee in Delhi, so he had the awareness to study in a Stephens. Logic lo it is called an a priori conclusion. | ||
