for the going forward admissions, it is expected that AP & TG govts would do fee reimbursement to the colleges which are within their juridiction.. its too early to comment, but expecting to have less admissions by ~15k in Hyd... To that extent colleges revenue will be less which actually be expensed out in hyd local.. what ever the proporation, some families will not migrate to Hyd.. Based on these students, many individuals constructed the houses for rental income.. impact to them will varry on how much they got it from loans.. please note its not about few tens/hundres of people not coming to hyd.. This is where i say we should follow give and take approach and not happy with TRS.. it's all about how you are mitigating the risks associated to growth i may sound negative to hyd lovers but i hope i make sense to some of you... | ||

What is the point in having colleges when there are no good professors or quality in education ? What is the whole point in having a college, when people are not interested to innovate new things ? i agree its a waste of money but lets look at the other side of the impact too.. Many people migrate to hyd for better medical and educational facilities.. Part of Arogyasri, you can go to any hosiptal in the state, due to split many can not come to Hyd Due to this college shut done effort, many people can not pursue their studies around Hyd too.. from cost perspective, many people doesnt see a difference in house rent between their home town (vs) outskirts of hyd. People migrate to hyd as getting a job is not a bid deal for lower half of income group. how does it really help? >50% of tax collection happens in hyd... does that mean 50% sales happening only in hyd? No.. its a general pattern (anyware) that more you urbanize better the tax collection.. more you encourage people to urban world, better tax collections... Once people come to hyd for medical or educational needs, they tend to go for own house by selling their properties in their home town.. As we are in competitive world, few other people will be influenced by looking at the better oppurtunities other kids are getting... Yes you are wasting money but it is also helping you in better tax collections.. its like a QE by Fed if QE is not continued by FED, not sure how many of you would have laid off and not sure how many of you returned back to india.. | ||

State bifurcation seems to be blessing in disguise for Andhra Pradesh. Out of a total of 712 engineering colleges in the undivided state, 350 are located in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts even as only 40 per cent of the students who qualify in Eamcet hail from the Telangana region. There would be less than 60,000 takers for the more than 1.9 lakh engineering seats available in the region. Consequently, it would resign many institutes in the region to a slow march to closure. About 170 engineering colleges already face a dearth of students. Interestingly, most of these institutes, which are run by managements from the Andhra region, would shift base to cities in the Seemandhra region, experts predicted.
