They categorically suggested all other states in the country to follow Andhra Pradesh as a role model state in lose reduction, solar & wind policies and Energy Efficiency activities etc.

Sri Piyush Goyal, further appreciated that the CM of AP, Sri N.Chandrababu Naidu has even set a stringent target of achieving 9% T&D losses, which is far below the National average of about 25%. No Chief Minister in the country has even dreamt of targeting a single digit T&D loss figure in the country

New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh government is hoping to sign about 10 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various Chinese companies both in the private and the public sectors across industries. The Andhra Pradesh government’s special representative Khambhampati Ramamohan Rao told The Hans India that the focus would be on forging tie-ups with industries such as infrastructure, manufacturing, textiles, metallurgy, mining, steel plants and hardware sectors.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is leaving for China on Saturday accompanied by a 13-member delegation and 34 industrialists from the State on a week-long tour. It is expected that the visit could bring in about Rs 20,000 crore to the State in various sectors once the MoUs are signed and the government of India gives its consent. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recommended and authorised the visit of the Chief Minister and his delegation upon an invitation from China not only to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries but also to increase trade and commerce.

It has been the policy of the Modi government to promote States to attract FDI directly into the States across the country. During Naidu’s tour, he and his delegation will visit three cities - Shanghai, Beijing and Cheng Du, apart from various industrial and electronics parks. There will be five working days during which the Chief Minister and his delegation will meet government officials and business heads but the key government programme will be the interaction with the Chinese vice premier Zhang Gaoli.

The State government is exploring all the avenues to impress the Chinese politicians and business leaders citing the new industrial policy in the State such as availability of 24/7 electricity, land at the disposal of the would-be investors, skilled labour and single-window clearances in 21 days while China can bring their money, machinery and technology. This is going to be Naidu’s second visit to China but this time, he is representing only the residuary Andhra Pradesh
