The reason other countries could not do this was because of the delicate diplomacy needed. The negotiations had to be done with the Saudis on one side and the Hootis on the other side. A completely neutral country which maintains good relations with both was the need of the hour. India stepped up; and VK Singh went into the danger zones. With an Indian minister on the ground, both sides calmed down. | ||
